NATION-E reveals at the Metering Billing/CRM 2010 fair in Vienna, the next level of mobile charging solutions for electric cars – the AngelCar®, now integrated with the Smart Grid
VIENNA--After the successful launch and extensive media coverage of Nation-E’s first mobile charging AngelCar® (www.nation-e.com), the one and only vehicle-to-vehicle charging system for electric cars that run out of battery power on the road, follows the next revelation: Nation-E’s vehicle-to-grid integration.
“Now it’s proven – let’s work with it.”
Nation-E showcases the next step of energy transmission at this year’s Metering Billing/CRM 2010 fair in Vienna http://www.metering-europe.com/NationPower. The company will reveal on the 24th of September, for the first time its revolutionary mobile charging concept: AngelCar®.
The goal of the demonstration is to showcase the various scenarios of charging and energy managing, highlighting the opportunities of the e-car driver, the possibilities of the smart grid and the realities of the next generation or rather nation e(lectric).
Nation-E has set its objective to address the following questions:
How to communicate? Does it make sense? Is the technology working and safe? Which companies have to cooperate? Are the interfaces and protocols compatible?
Again different standards? Is it cost efficient?
Furthermore, Nation-E wishes to conclude the debate on the opportunities of integration of the smart grid with the vast arena of suppliers of stationary and/or mobile Li-Ion batteries, its components and manufacturing standards, introducing its own, holistic and complete system of energy management.
The following elements are included into the setup:
- a low operating costs Li-Ion car battery (18kWh)
- smart meters,
- dynamic powerline communication,
- load management
- and a router.
The system works equally well for electric cars and private households, as well as for companies with fleets or car parks.
It enables a variety of core advantages, including:
- managed and possibly reduced lowest-cost charging,
- grid services/peak load levelling,
- UPS support for car owners,
- UPS support for homes,
- and of course still vehicle-to-vehicle charging.
As a manufacturer of sophisticated Li-Ion batteries, and scalable energy storage solutions, as well as other systems around peak shaving and load levelling, the Swiss based company Nation-E portrays yet again that such integrated systems are happening already today.
Or to use the words of the Nation-E CEO Daniel Jammer: ā€œNow it’s proven – let’s work with it.ā€???
Nation-E is the company that provides energy storage solutions for smart grid infrastructure and e-mobility. Additionally the company is looking into the green energy sector as a whole, including raw materials, renewably energy supply and recycling. With a vision for environmental responsibility, and concrete plans to revolutionise the energy supply chain, Nation-E provides the global markets with scalable solutions for energy management.
