Granholm will join representatives from Azure Dynamics, Ford Motor Company, Johnson Controls and AM General to discuss the collaboration behind the innovative Ford Transit Connect Electric. In addition to creating new jobs and new business collaborations, the vehicle project capitalizes on Michigan's established automotive infrastructure and further demonstrates the state's leadership in alternative energy transportation.  Speakers will discuss the federal, state and local funding that supported the project and its development in Michigan.
