Contact: Lillian Bell (717) 292-1696 -FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Knopp Repeats and Becker Wins Career First at SSP on Saturday Night Newberrytown, PA (September 18, 2010) - Fawn Grove's Chris Knopp picked up his fifth win of the season and second in a row by claiming the 25-lap Late Model feature event at the Susquehanna Speedway Park on Saturday night. Jeremy Becker of Pottsville claimed his first career SSP Street Stock feature win by leading all twenty laps of the event. Dover's Matt Wampler earned his second consecutive Xtreme Stock Car feature race of the season by besting Jimmy Jesmer Jr. and Larry Landis. Jim Jacobs of Seven Valleys was victorious in the 15-lap Road Warrior feature event. Racing action returns to the Big Track at SSP for the 5th Annual Susquehanna Showdown presented by Cumberland Trucking on Friday and Saturday nights, October 1 and 2. The 5th Annual Susquehanna Showdown is highlighted with a 50-lap feature for the 358ci Late Models paying a possible $28,000-to-win on Saturday night, October 2 at the Susquehanna Speedway Park. The race is presented by Cumberland Truck Equipment and HTMA Racing Tires. The winner is guaranteed $3,000-to-win with the chance to win an additional bonus of $25,000 in victory lane through the "Lucky Envelope Promotion." In victory lane, if the winner of the race correctly picks the two matching envelopes marked "Winner" on the inside from twenty envelopes, that driver will win the $25,000 bonus. The bonus money will be paid at a later date once the winning envelopes are verified. Other bonus prizes for the Late Models are available from Bernheisel Racecars; AFCO Racing Products; Miller's Racing Parts and more. The 2-day Susquehanna Showdown will also feature World Championship races for the Mini Vans and Road Warriors on Friday night. On Saturday night, the Super Sportsman Tour (presented by Chaparral Hunting Adventures and Blazer's Body Shop) and the Pro Stocks will join the Late Models. The Susquehanna Speedway Park is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles NW on SR382 to York Road, then 1.3 miles south.
