Puget Sound New Energy Solutions Coordinating “Get Plug-in Ready—Now!�??

What:

Puget Sound New Energy Solutions (PSNES) will join Puget Sound Energy, the King County Executive’s Office, state Department of Transportation, state Department of Commerce, Washington Technology, and the C7 New Energy Partnership (Cities of Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Redmond, Renton, and Sammamish) for a regional, one-day “Get Plug-in Ready--Now�?? workshop to help public and private entities prepare for this fall’s market arrival of electric vehicles. Also participating will be representatives from major car manufacturers and other organizations involved in the deployment of electric vehicles.

 
At 10:30 a.m., media will have an opportunity to photograph a variety of electric vehicles.
 
Speakers will include:

Background:

Puget Sound New Energy Solutions (PSNES) is a four-county (King, Pierce, Snohomish, Kitsap) collaborative partnership of municipalities, utilities, housing and transit authorities and other stakeholders that addresses energy, economic and environmental challenges by working to build a new energy economy in the Puget Sound region.
 
PSE supports the adoption of electric vehicles and other alternative-fueled vehicles by its customers. As new electric vehicles come on the market in 2010 and beyond, PSE is committed to working with residents and businesses, government agencies, and automakers to ensure that Western Washington is ready for the next generation of technologies in transportation.
