NASCAR Camping World Truck Series - Friday Practice Summary (NASCAR/JEGS)

No. 2 JEGS.com Chevrolet Silverado driven by Kevin Harvick
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
New Hampshire Motor Speedway
September 17, 2010 - Friday Practice

MORNING PRACTICE:

First practice is complete here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Harvick
finished practice 3rd fastest in the No. 2 JEGS Chevrolet Silverado. Harvick
did a total of 9 laps over the course of one run.

Because of some early showers, Harvick waited to get into the truck until
some of his competitors had made a few laps. Once he began practice, his
times got better with every lap, and he went to the top of the leader board
after running a 29.703-second lap. Bringing the truck back to the garage he
stated that the truck was “ridiculous good?? and commended the guys on a job
well done. By the end of practice, Kyle Busch and Todd Bodine passed the
No. 2, ultimately making Kevin 3rd fastest.

FINAL PRACTICE:

Final practice is complete from here at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Kevin
Harvick finished the session 2nd fastest with a lap time of 29.252 after
making 35 laps over 6 runs.

Following his first run, Kevin stated that the truck needed a little bit
more rear grip and was a little too free to really push the truck hard. The
splitter was hitting the ground in the right front, and the truck needed a
little bit more tape in order to warm it up. The team made a right front
spring change and a left rear shock change in addition to adding tape to the
brakes and grille.

The adjustments improved the truck, and the splitter was barely skimming
the track, but the truck needed more tape to get the brakes hotter. The team
then experimented with potential changes for the race tomorrow before
switching over to qualifying trim. Kevin ran his fastest lap of the session in
the second lap of his qualifying run.

Overall Kevin felt that the truck had a good balance for tomorrow.
Qualifying begins tomorrow at 10:05 a.m. ET. The Truck Series will once again
utilize the multi-truck qualifying format, and based on today’s practice times,
Kevin will go out 35th.
