SYDNEY – Sept 13, 2010: Chrysler Australia’s results are in for August and the iconic Jeep brand has reported its best year-to-date figures in 13 years, increasing a whopping 159.9% on 2009.

The Jeep range of vehicles experienced massive gains in both year-to-date and the same period in 2009, reporting an impressive 525 vehicle sales. This result was spearheaded by the ever popular

Wrangler recording 226 sales, followed by the Cherokee and compact Patriot, whose sales increased over 200% year-to date.

Not to be outdone by Jeep, Dodge also reported a huge increase of 71.4% compared to August 2009. When combined with Chrysler, the three brands sold 787 vehicles, delivering a result up 80.9% for the same period last year.

Chrysler Australia’s National Sales Manager, Brad Fitzsimmons, was thrilled with the August result. “The Chrysler Group’s sales growth result of 80.9% is very impressive when you compare it to the industry average of 12.1% for the same month last year.

“Jeep is delivering fantastic results each month with a range of vehicles that customers want, showcasing true off-road capabilities, an impressive list of standard and safety features and iconic styling that sets the brand apart.” said Brad Fitzsimmons.
