Demeny Racing - TORC Fall CrandonRace Report

Demeny Finishes Fourth in Super
Stock Championship

Fifth PlaceFinish in Round 11 @
Crandon

Abrams, WI
(September 9, 2010) - Demeny Off-Road have been fighting driveline gremlins for
much of the 2010 TORC Sportsman race season and the team was hoping the issue
was resolved when the Abrams, Wisconsin resident unloaded for the final weekend
of racing in Crandon. The team was ready to battle with the other eighteen
Super Stock trucks that came to the "Big House," unfortunately, Don had to run
his back-up engine and transmission in order to make the show.

Saturday's
racing is Round 11 of the TORC series, but keeping with Crandon tradition it is
also known as World Championship Saturday. The winner of each race will be
named World Champion as well as given a one of a kind World Championship ring.
This the one race every year every off-road competitor wants to win. Whether
you are contending for the season long championship or entering your first race
of the year, every driver understands the importance of winning a ring and
becoming the World Champion.

Don Demeny
brought his #885 Nsight Teleservices Cellcom BFGoodrich Tires Dodge Ram 1500 to
lineup trying to figure how he was going to win that World Championship ring in
his slightly underpowered hot rod. As the race laps were ticking off, Don
steadily moved into the fifth spot just past the half way point of the race. To
move any higher through the field Don was asking his spotter about the lines
the leaders where taking around the 1.7 mile track. Don was willing to try just
about anything in the hope of winning the silver ring. With the laps winding
down to the finish, Don held his position to finish fifth.

Overnight
the truck was prepped and ready to go by dinner time. Don and his crew
continued discussing the different lines other racer were taking around the
track, hoping some insight would get him around the track quicker for Sunday's
season finale.

The final
race in the Super Stock Truck season, Round 12, was also the Mole Lake Cup. The
Mole Lake Casino and Lodge created a larger purse for the top three finishers
as well as a special trophy for this special event. Once again more than just
championship points were on the line.

The land
rush start saw the #885 Nsight Teleservices Cellcom BFGoodrich Tires Dodge Ram
1500 come cleanly through the first turn and was running midpack by the end of
the second lap.

Then Don
decided to take a different approach to the Barn Jump in hopes of keeping more
speed as he headed down the skybox straightway. The line works well with the
PRO trucks, but when the #885 landed it immediately spit out its driveshaft,
ending the day early for Don Demeny.

"I knew
coming into the weekend I would have try different things and have some luck on
my side to finish on the podium," noted Don Demeny. "I did what I could and
lost the driveshaft. Regardless we finished the season in fourth place, pretty
good considering the issues we were fighting early on. Again I need to thank
all my family and friends that come out to every race to give us a hand.
Especially my wife, whenever things get tough she jumps right in to make sure we
are ready for the next round."

Demeny
Off-Road is already working on the 2011 season. The team has already signed
Cellcom to a marketing commitment for the upcoming season and by the time you
read this, the team's engine builder is already working on the new powerplant.
