Tough truck enthusiasts love the F-150 SVT Raptor, and yet Ford engineers are still finding ways to make the performance truck champ even sweeter. For 2011, those improvements come in the form of a SuperCrew option, along with making the previously optional 6.2-liter V8 engine standard. Focus Electric owners will maximize range with innovative battery management

Future owners of the Ford Focus Electric will be able to maximize their gas-free driving range and extend their car's battery life thanks to a thermal management system that uses cooled and heated liquid to regulate battery temperature. Active thermal management of lithium-ion battery systems is critical to the commercial success of all-electric vehicles because extreme temperatures can affect performance, reliability, safety and durability.   Xcel Energy to be among first to receive Ford Transit Connect Electric

Xcel Energy, a major U.S. electricity and natural gas company, and a coalition of its customers have been selected to be among the first in the country to receive the Ford Transit Connect Electric. Azure Dynamics, which integrates its ForceDrive(TM) electric drivetrain into Ford's commercial van, named Xcel Energy to its Lead Customer program to receive 13 Transit Connect Electric vehicles.
