FINAL LUCAS OIL AMA NATIONAL MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP RACE: LONG-AWAITED RETURN TO SO CAL LIVE ON SPEED
Pala Raceway – September 11, 2010

Corona, Calif. - - The grueling 5-month, 10-state Lucas Oil AMA National Pro Motocross Championship will run its final race of the season in southern California for the first time in 28 years.

The challenging Pala Raceway in north county San Diego is the site for this exciting outdoor motocross event which will bring the very best professional riders in the country together to finally sort out a national championship and crown a national champion over the convoluted course.

And the date is this Saturday, September 11 … LIVE ON SPEED

The series began this past May with the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Sacramento, California and visited: Texas, Pennsylvania (twice!), Maryland, Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, Washington, New York, and Massachusetts, before ending up back in the motocross hotbed of southern California. The site is the spectacular Pala Raceway, located a half-hour north of San Diego off I-15 on Highway 76 just past Pala Resort.

Frenchman Christophe Pourcel (Kawasaki) leads Shawnee, Oklahoma’s Trey Canard (Honda) 443 to 436 points in the hotly-contested 250 division, with South African Tyla Rattray (Kawasaki) trailing in third at 402 points but looking for an upset win to finish is year in great style. (Complete points standings can be found on www.mxsportsproracing.com)

SPEED will televise the 250 Pro finals LIVE in HD on Saturday, September 11 at 8PM EST (5PM PST) with a repeat broadcast on Wednesday the 15 (as always please check your local listings)

Lucas Oil is very pleased that the season finale of the Motocross Championship series which bears their name will conclude in California this year. The first race of the year in northern California and the final in SoCal, there’s a nice symmetry to that…
