ExtenZe Racing’s Christopher Winter to Make 
SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series Debut

The 20 year-old Arcadia, California Native will make his 
debut during this Labor Day weekend’s running of the 
SRL Touring 100 at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale  

Charlotte, N.C. (September 2, 2010) – With only a handful of starts in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Late Model Series and one NASCAR Super Late Model race under his belt, Christopher Winter’s racing resume may be a little thinner than the competition’s, but he has quickly shown his natural, raw talent and racing prowess behind the wheel of 650 horse power race cars. With the backing of ExtenZe, who also sponsors NASCAR’s 2010 leading Sprint cup Series Rookie-of-the-Year driver Kevin Conway, the 20 year-old Arcadia, Calif., native will make his SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series debut this Labor Day Weekend driving the No. 26 ExtenZe Racing machine during Saturday night’s running of the SRL Touring Series 100 at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. 

Since making his debut in the NASCAR Auto Club Late Model Series at Irwindale on May 29th Winter has competed in seven of the 12 races run thus far in the 2010 season and currently sits 17th in the points standings. Although he has entered racing at a fairly late age compared to most of his competition Christopher hasn’t let that intimidate him or slow him down and is coming off a very impressive sixth place finish in his first start ever in the NASCAR Super Late Model Division that took place on August, 28th at Irwindale where, after starting 10th he went onto outperform many veteran seasoned drivers. 

“Our strong finish in the Super Late Model race last weekend gave me a lot of confidence as I prepare to make my SRL Southwest Tour Series debut,” said Winter. “This will be the longest race that I have ever run but I’m excited to race 100 laps with some of the best short-track racers in the country and continue to learn and gain experience.”

The SRL Southwest Tour Series has been the final stepping stone before reaching the premiere divisions of NASCAR for many drivers such as Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Matt Crafton and others. In everything Christopher drives, he proves he has what it takes to be a champion, from extensive testing in off-road trucks, Porsche GT3R Carrera Cup cars, and as a development driver for ExtenZe Racing, he certainly has a big future.

BACKGROUNDER:

Christopher Winter, a 20 year-old from Arcadia, California, is fairly new to the racing world. Prior to making his recent jump into the NASCAR Auto Club Late Model Series and Pepsi Super Late Model Series at Irwindale Speedway he didn’t have any real racing experience. He got the itch to want to expand his racing career after competing in only three Willow Springs road course races in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, an off road truck test, and then one test at Irwindale in a Late Model. Since making his debut in the NASCAR Auto Club Late Model Series at Irwindale on May 29, 2010, Winter has competed in seven of the 12 races run thus far in the 2010 season and currently sits 17th in the points standings. Although he has entered racing at a fairly late age compared to most of his competition and has very limited formal racing experience, Christopher has shown amazing raw talent. This was most recently seen during his debut in the Pepsi Super Late Model Series on August, 28, 2010 where he started 10th and went onto finish 6th outperforming many veteran seasoned drivers.
