Pacific Mobile/Biosign car qualifies fourth for Montreal 200
Team happy with race-oriented set up

Woodbridge, Ont. (August 27, 2010) — Burt Frisselle has secured a fourth-place start for the Pacific Mobile/Biosign car in tomorrow’s Montreal 200, the eleventh round of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. With a time of 1m 32.224s, averaging 170.182 km/h (105.746 mph), around the 4.36km (2.709 mile)-long Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the team is optimistic the car is poised for a good result in tomorrow’s race.

Working on keeping the car settled on the temporary street circuit which is notoriously hard on brakes, AIM Autosport managed to improve the pace of it’s car through the day, peaking with their best time during the 15-minute qualifying session at 5pm.

Looking happy and relaxed after qualifying, Chief Engineer, Ian Willis, explained that the team had spent the day focused on race set up and said that he was happy with the car.

“We always want to go faster, but I’m happy with qualifying on the second row,” he said, wearing a confident smile. “I’d be happier on the front row, but we’re in good shape for the race.”

“The car feels good,” Burt said. “We’re a tenth of a second off third place, but the 99 car, on pole, is the class of the field this week. We’re going to use the final practice to make some small changes so that Mark and I can be more confident with the car, but the crew has done great work and the Ford power is excellent.”

“We’ve been going in the right direction all day, getting faster in every session,” said co-driver, Mark Wilkins, who will drive the final stint of tomorrow’s race. “Burt did a great job to qualify on the second row and I’m hoping we can finish on the podium. The last few races haven’t been good in terms of finishing, but it would be nice to get a top-three here in Montreal.”

The two-hour-long Montreal 200 is scheduled to begin at 2:15pm, tomorrow. Live coverage will be provided by SPEED TV and MRN radio.
