Honda Sets All-Time Monthly Record for Production in Asia and China

Tokyo, Aug 27, 2010; Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced a summary of automobile production, Japan domestic sales, and export results for the month of July 2010, including an all-time record for any month for production in Asia and China.
I. Production
Production in Japan for the month of July 2010 experienced a year-on-year increase for the seventh consecutive month (since January 2010).
Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the ninth consecutive month (since November 2009), including record production in Asia and China for any month.
Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year increase for the eighth consecutive month (since December 2009).
II. Japan Domestic Market Sales
Total Japan domestic market auto sales for the month of July 2010 experienced a year-on-year increase for the 13th consecutive month (since July 2009).
New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year increase for the 16th consecutive month (since April 2009).
Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive month (since April 2010).
Vehicle registrations - excluding mini-vehicles Fit was the industry's second best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of July 2010 with sales of 18,139 units. Freed was the industry's fifth best-selling car with sales of 10,308 units. Step WGN was the industry's seventh best-selling car with sales of 8,664 units.
Mini-vehicles - under 660cc Life was the industry's seventh best-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of July 2010, with sales of 6,082 units. Zest was the industry's tenth best-selling car with sales of 3,527 units.
III. Exports from Japan
Total exports from Japan in July 2010 experienced a year-on-year increase for the fifth consecutive month (since March 2010).
