Atlanta Motor Speedway Adds Truck Race to 2011 Labor Day NASCAR Night
Racing Weekend
HAMPTON, Ga. (Aug. 19, 2010) - Atlanta Motor Speedway's 2011 Labor Day
NASCAR night racing weekend schedule has been expanded to include a
200-mile NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday, Sept. 2.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race will precede a 300-mile
NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday, Sept. 3 and a 500-mile NASCAR
Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Sept. 4. All three events feature
evening start times.
"With all three of NASCAR's premier divisions on the same weekend, fans
will certainly get their fill of top-notch night racing competition,"
said Atlanta Motor Speedway president Ed Clark. "We're certainly excited
to add another event to our Labor Day weekend schedule and the biggest
sporting event weekend in the state of Georgia."
With the addition, all three of NASCAR's national-touring divisions will
race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on the same weekend for the first time in
over three years.
