Tim George Jr.'s Strong Run at New Jersey Motorsports Park Taken Away in Closing
 Laps

Mooresville, N.C. (August 18, 2010) - Tim George Jr. saw the chance of his first
career ARCA Racing Series victory vanish in a cloud of smoke after a late-race
incident resulted in a disappointing 11th-place finish in Sunday's Garden State
ARCA 150 presented by American Red Cross at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

George qualified the No. 31 Chevrolet on the front row, finished second in his qualifier
and led 19 laps en route to the 11th-place finish.

After a strong second-place qualifying effort and two good practices on Saturday,
the No. 31 Chevrolet team felt confident heading into Sunday's race. George's No.
31 Chevrolet had covered the road course in 82.628 seconds at 98.03 miles per hour
and was sitting outside on the front row.

George held his second position for the first 28 laps with savvy driving on used
tires for the first half of the race. With rain threatening, the first caution
waved on lap 28, bringing George down pit road from his second-place position. Crew
chief Gere Kennon, called for fuel and four fresh tires and the team returned their
driver back to the track to restart the race in second position.

Back under green for an additional 11 laps, George maintained his position inside
the top-five. The New York, NY native told Kennon that he felt his car was a solid
performer.

When the second yellow flag of the race flew on lap 39, a strategic pit call to
stay out positioned George as the new leader. He led laps 28-29 and later laps 42-58
as he pulled out to a comfortable lead in front of the 35-car field.

George wheeled the No. 31 Richard Childress Racing (RCR) Development Chevrolet,
from the point, battling the No. 51 of Casey Roderick on lap 58 of the 67-lap event
when Roderick's car made contact with the rear of George's black and red machine.
The jolt forced the New York, N.Y native spinning off the track as they exited turn
one.

George managed to get his Chevrolet back on track without further injuring the No.31
machine, however the damage had been done with many positions lost in the process.

George, who at times had led with a comfortable margin the second half of the race
with lap times faster than the field, restarted in 13th position and on the lead
lap. The 29-year old George did not give up and powered to regain the lost positions.
The No. 31 Chevy was able to move from 13th to 11th by the time the 67th and final
lap clicked off the board.

"After the race, I was pretty emotional," said George. "My guys on the No.31 RCR
team worked their tails off and gave me the best car out on the track. Throughout
the race, I drove as hard as possible without using up my equipment in hopes to
have something left if I needed to charge at the end."

Instead, George was left to wonder what might have finished as he departed the 2.25-mile
road course.

"I would have loved to have had a legitimate battle at the end," George added. "I
feel confident that we would have come out on top of this race if that had been
the case. It felt good leading as much as we did, and I look forward to the next
road course. But for now I will switch my focus and skill set to the upcoming Chicagoland
test and dirt race."

The RCR Development driver dropped one spot to eighth in the ARCA Racing championship
standings after round 13 of 20 at New Jersey. He now has 2,700 points and is 330
markers behind the series leader, Frank Kimmel.
