Ross Hoek Lands on Podium Round 7

Shows Speed in Round 8

Holland, MI
(August 16, 2010) - Ross Hoek Motorsports is beginning to see all the long
hours building and preparing the #21 Allstar Performance, Royal Purple,
BFGoodrich, Ford Ranger pay off at the track for the 2010 TORC season. This past
weekend of racing for Ross Hoek can
be considered a turning point in his PRO-Light career.

The second
visit to Bark River International Off-Road Raceway seems to be a confidence
booster for teams like RHM when developing a new truck for competition. The
return trip allows teams to fine tune their chassis setups as well as gear
combinations. This is especially important with the new specifications of the
V-8 powered PRO-Light trucks.

Ross Hoek put
the three practice sessions before the start of Round 7 to good use. Each time
out, the orange Ford Ranger was continually improving its lap times. The RHM
crew was confident that a podium finish was in its future.

The Round 7
action had the Allstar Performance Ford Ranger starting in the middle of the
pack. Some quick moves avoiding spinning competitors on the first lap put Ross into
podium contention. After the mandatory
caution Ross pressured the leaders with no luck but when the checkered flag was
waved, Ross had battled his way to a third place podium finish. "We had a good truck
today," noted Ross
"Tomorrow will be better."

Sunday's
Round 8 action had Ross "up on the wheel" immediately from the onset. The
starting order had the #21 Ford in the second row and now it was time for the
driver from southwest Michigan
racer to move up the podium. Ross got shuffled back a couple spots on the start
but raced hard to the mandatory caution. The caution lap allowed the Allstar Performance
Ford Ranger to get back
into contention for a spot on the box. When the field went back to green flag
racing, a rock got into the engine pulleys of the #21, breaking the oil pump
belt. Immediately, Ross shut the engine down and coasted off the track.

"Coming to Bark River
and getting the two extra practice sessions has been key to our truck's development,"
noted Ross Hoek. "Our PRO-Light program has come a long way since the season
opener in Crandon. I feel like we have one of the better trucks in the class,
and we'll continue to back it up with our results. Today was our first DNF this
season and it was unavoidable, we'll be back strong at Chicagoland."

The next
race for Ross Hoek Motorsports is Wednesday, August 25 and Thursday, August 26
under the lights at the Dirt Track at Chicagoland's Route 66 Raceway in Joliet,
Illinois.
