(August 14, 2010) -Thirteen races into the 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards season, Tim George Jr. heads into the Garden State ARCA 150 presented by American Red Cross at New Jersey Motorsports Park for 150-miles of road racing on the outside pole. Thirty-three teams, including George's No. 31 Richard Childress Racing (RCR) Development Chevrolet Impala, shook down cars at the 2.25-mile road course for the Garden State ARCA 150 this afternoon in the first practice session of the two-day event. George piloted the No.31 to the fifth-fastest lap in practice at 84.831 seconds (95.484 mph). He completed 13 laps during the session. The 29-year old finished the final practice session in the tenth position maneuvering around the twists and turns of the road course in 84.464 seconds at 95.899 mph. Preparing to make his second career-start at the track in the ARCA Racing Series, George turned 10 laps during the hour-long practice. "We did not do a mock-run during practice, so I don't quite know what to expect on how much I can push the car on new tires," quoted George after the final practice session. "I think there is a little more left. I still don't have a pole this season yet and this is a good opportunity for me to get it. I think the car is really good in race trim." Entering the race as the only competitor with a pro victory at New Jersey Motorsports Park, George prepared for the evening Menards Pole Qualifying Presented by Ansell session with the pole award in his sights. The New York, N.Y. native will make his return to New Jersey Motorsports Park from the second position and set his sights on a win in his No. 31 RCR machine from his front row position starting spot. George clicked off a career-best qualifying effort, turning in a lap of 82.628 seconds (98.030 mph). "It is the first time I have sat on the front row in my career besides in Skip Barber," said George. "It was defiantly an honor to have done it with a RCR car. It is the first time in RCR history that they have raced here, so I hope that tomorrow I can give then a good result. They keep bringing a lot of really good equipment and a lot of talent in the shop. It is a better energy, and we obviously run well. Last week we had the car to beat, this week we have one of the cars to beat and I hope to keep it up front. I am look forward to racing within my limits and keeping it up front."
