CONCORD, N.C. (Aug. 4, 2010)- It’s back.

Greenville-Pickens Speedway returns to the USARacing Pro Cup Series in a big
way in 2010, hosting the fourth race in the Championship Series. The
250-lap event is scheduled for Saturday, October 9 and replaces the date
originally scheduled for Gresham (Jefferson, Ga.) Motorsports Park.

Located in Greenville, S.C., the half-mile speedway hosts its first Pro Cup
Series event since 2005 and fourth overall. Three different drivers have
won each of the three previous races.

Keith Cochran, Media and Public Relations Director for the speedway, said he
is happy to host the race. Series tire supplier BFGoodrich is based in
Greenville, which Cochran says makes the event a natural fit for all
involved.

“It’s jut a win-win for the speedway and the series,” Cochran said. “ This
agreement with the USARacing puts the Pro Cup Series back in the Palmetto
State and brings this top national touring series home. It demonstrates the
importance of the upstate South Carolina marketplace.”

USARacing Pro Cup Series Director Jimmy Wilson echoed Cochran’s comments
about the importance of returning to the Greenville area.

“It’s been awhile since we’ve been to Greenville-Pickens (Speedway), but I
think it’s really important that we have a presence in South Carolina,” said
Jimmy Wilson, USARacing Pro Cup Series Director.

Drivers will go to work alongside “Wall of Fame” champions including, Ralph
Earnhardt, Buddy Howard and David Pearson for the first time since April
2005.

The half-mile track at Greenville-Pickens Speedway has hosted many historic
short-track races since its opening in 1940. With its low banking and
multiple grooves, it is certain to provide fans with a great show.
