PARKER THOMPSON SHOWS THE WAY AT WESTERN CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

"A pair of wins in Rotax Mini Max to close out the series"

August 4, 2010 - Tony Kart West pilot Parker Thompson, driving under the
Apollo Motorsports banner, had another outstanding event this past weekend
at the fifth and sixth rounds of the Western Canadian Championships (WCC)
held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Competing at the fast and tricky
Stratotech Park, Thompson swept the weekend's action in the Rotax Mini Max
class taking the checkers in each and every official on track session.

After arriving back from some events south of the border, Thompson's power
plants would not make the trek home with him as they would be help up in
Canadian customs for inspection. After finally being released on Friday
morning, the motors arrived at Strototech Park mid-afternoon after the
majority of the official test day had been completed.

"It was a little stressful as I waited for my motors," expressed Thompson
after the event was complete. "The track is a fast track and you really need
to keep your speed up. I have never raced here before and it was tough to
watch all the other drivers practice while I had to sit on the sidelines. I
knew that with all the support from Apollo Motorsports we would be up to
speed quickly and need to thank them for their help."

Thompson would hit the track in the early afternoon as the Western Canadian
Tony Kart operation, would lend Thompson a motor for testing purposes.
Poised and ready to get on track, Thompson was one of the quickest drivers
right out of the box and it became evident that he would contend for the
win.

Saturday morning qualifying couldn't have gone better for the young Canadian
as he turned the quickest lap of the session and took the pole position for
the heat race later that day. With the heat race results setting the grid
for the main event, Thompson quickly jumped out to the lead and never looked
back. Turning some of the quickest laps of the weekend in the Mini Max
class, the Tony Kart pilot cruised to a heat race win but would run into
trouble in post race technical inspection.

"My kart was a bit too wide in the rear so I was removed from the results,"
explained Parker. "I will have to start the final from the back of the grid
but I am confident I can move forward. The kart was perfect and if it
handles the same in the final, I know I can win."

Thompson lived up to his words and quickly started passing competitors at
the drop of the green flag. Utilizing the draft and some bold late braking
moves, Thompson was quickly back at the front of the field and went on to
score the victory in round five.

Sunday was a carbon copy of Saturday's racing action as Thompson was
unbeatable and looked to carry the momentum from the previous day's racing.
After taking another pole position, the young talent went on to score the
heat race win and main event victory to sweep the weekend action.

Parker would like to thank her current supporters and sponsors: Tony Kart
West and Apollo Motorsports for all their hard work and continued support.
Parker would also like to thank the officials and staff of the Western
Canadian Challenge for another terrific event.
