*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*

Concord, N.C. (August 3, 2010)- The USARacing Pro Cup Series has teamed with
the Cabarrus Boys and Girls Club to host a fan appreciation day and
fundraiser at Concord Speedway on August 28, 2010.
The 250-lap Pro Cup Series race, formerly the Hooters Pro Cup, will kick off
its five-race Championship Series. The event also includes a 50-lap Allison
Legacy Series race and two, 75-lap ICARS Dash Series races.
Best of all, gate admission is FREE. However, a $10 parking fee per vehicle
will apply. Fans can obtain FREE passes to the event through various
businesses around the greater Concord area and FREE passes can be obtained
by logging on to www.usarprocup.com or www.concordmotorsportpark.com.
“We wanted to create a way to help the Cabarrus Boys and Girls Club in their
efforts to serve youth in the community," said USARacing Pro Cup Series
Managing Partner, Larry Camp.
During the event, fans can make donations to the local Boys and Girls Club
at their booth located in the main area grandstand. The Boys and Girls Club
opened its doors in 1946 to provide “quality, year-round, affordable
programs for all youth ages 6-18.”
"This is a unique way for people in the community to support this great
organization and have some great fun watching the first event of our
Championship Series at Concord Speedway," said Camp. “USARacing moved its
headquarters here from Myrtle Beach last year, so this is home for us now.”
Event Coordinator for the Concord Boys and Girls Club Mike Blackwelder added
that his group is hoping publicity and exposure from the race will benefit
the Club.
“We are very excited to be part of the event,” said Blackwelder. “It will
bring a lot of attention and awareness to the Club.”
Clay Rogers, of Mooresville, N.C., will be on hand to defend his win at
Concord Speedway. Rogers currently sits first in series points with a
254-point lead over second place and Rookie-of-the-Year contender Logan
Ruffin.
Ruffin, a current resident of Huntersville N.C., will battle fellow Rookie
drivers such as Chase Elliott (son of NASCAR legend Bill Elliott) Stephen
Nasse and Ryan Heavner to continue his lead in the Raybestos
Rookie-of-the-Year standings.
The green flag for the Cabarrus Boys and Girls Club 250 at Concord Speedway
is set to drop at 7:30 p.m.
The USAR Pro Cup Series, formerly Hooters Pro Cup, is owned by Interstate
Investment Group (IIG) and is based in Concord, N.C. For more information
