LUCAS OFF-ROAD - GLEN HELEN THIS WEEKEND!

WHAT:  THE LUCAS OIL OFF ROAD RACING SERIES makes its only 2010 Southern California visit this weekend at Glen Helen Motorsports Park in Devore for races 9 and 10 in the 16-event championship series.  

This is World-Class Short Track Racing close-up and personal on a specially-designed and built course that’ll test driver and machine to the very limits on every foot, every yard, every jump, switchback, and tabletop as it snakes 1 mile through some of the toughest terrain in the county.

WHEN:  AUGUST 6, 7, & 8.  Friday Practice and Qualifying are open to the public and runs from 10AM to 7PM.  Saturday and Sunday’s races are “under the lights” with gates open to the public at 3PM and opening ceremonies for the Pros firing off at 7PM.

WHERE: The legendary GLEN HELEN RACEWAY, 18585 Verdemont Ranch Road,  San Bernardino, Calif. (At the I15 and 215)

WHO:  A super-competitive mix of the top Off Road Professionals driving 750-horsepower pickup trucks that spend half of their time flying through the air, to 8-12 year-old rookies in 13 horsepower Junior 1 Karts (which really are kid-size versions of the racing pickups).  Anywhere one looks, Lucas short course racing is always at a high boil.
