Media Release: Brabham To Resume Race Winning Momentum At Mid-Ohio

Media Release: Brabham To Resume Race Winning Momentum At Mid-Ohio

London, UK - Monday, August 2, 2010; David Brabham will be looking to restore
his American Le Mans Series race winning momentum in round six, the Mid-Ohio
Sports Car Challenge at Lexington, Ohio, August 5-7, as the 2010 championship
battle enters a pivotal point in the season.

With three races scheduled across the next four weeks, putting solid points on
the LMP board has never been more important for Brabham and the Patrón Highcroft
Racing crew.

Together with teammate Simon Pagenaud, Brabham took a solid second place finish
at Highcroft's home circuit of Lime Rock Park last time out, sealing Brabham's
56th top three Series finish and an unfaltering season podium record despite the
HPD ARX-01c still suffering a straight line speed disadvantage to its LMP
rivals.

Brabham put Highcroft's HPD prototype on pole, his first of the season and 13th
of his Series career, in stunning style for round five in extremely wet
conditions. But a puncture developed in the closing stages of the race while
Brabham was chasing down championship rival Klaus Graf in the Porsche Spyder put
pay to his race winning chances and hopes of taking four consecutive victories.

"To win these races you have to do everything correctly, as CytoSport did at
Lime Rock," said Brabham. "We had a run of three races where we executed
everything perfectly and won each race, but not by huge margins. We were about
to pounce at Lime Rock when we got the puncture, so we're doing our job well.
We've got a lot of racing left and points up for grabs, so the focus is now
firmly on Mid-Ohio.

"You dig deeper after every race weekend. I know every team member, myself
included, will look back at Lime Rock and think they could have done better and
that's what makes us stronger. We are more than happy to look back at our
weaknesses and see where we need to improve and we do.

"That's been the progression of the team since it first started. Duncan [Dayton]
has very clear ambitions about where he wants to take the team and the team are
with him. We are all pushing because the competition is tough. I feel very lucky
and privileged to drive with such a great team."

Regardless of track debris once again stealing away a potential race win,
mirroring Highcroft's 2009 Lime Rock misfortune, the Brabham/Pagenaud pairing
still lead Graf by seven points in the LMP battle as the American Le Mans Series
heads to Mid-Ohio and the building crescendo to the 2010 season.

"We've got a busy period coming up so it's important we finish every race and
finish every race well," continued Brabs. "We want to make sure that when we get
to Petit Le Mans we have a good points lead and of course we know from Lime Rock
that's not always easy.

"Every race is really important to further develop the new aero kit we are
running on the Highcroft HPD car because we haven't been able to test. So every
race we have to make changes and learn from them. We are getting more data as we
go along which should set us up nicely for the end of the season.

"We'll be close to the Porsche at Mid-Ohio, there's no doubt about it. Certainly
on paper they should be quicker because they are lighter and have more
downforce. If we can get on top of them we will have done a stellar job, that's
for sure, as we certainly have a straight line speed disadvantage.

"It's quite a physical circuit but it's a fun track too and we've always done
well there. There are not a lot of places to pass around Mid-Ohio so strategy
will once again be the key. It's Simon's weekend coming up so he'll be
qualifying. He's done an outstanding job this year and rest assured we'll all be
putting 100% effort into it."

Track action on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course kicks off with testing on
Thursday, August 5. One-hour of official practice will take place at 12.45pm
(local time) on Friday followed by prototype qualifying at 2.25pm. The green
flag will fall for 2 hours and 45-minutes of racing action for round six of the
American Le Mans Series, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge, at 3pm (local time)
on Saturday, August 7.
