The final results for the black and orange Ford F-150 wouldn't be reflective of his season, but the way each race unfolded sure seemed that way. The .8 mile stadium style course was designed in and around the Oshkosh Speedzone .5 mile clay stock car oval. The course itself consisted of a handful of jumps and a rhythm section that ran the length of the infield. The infield portion of the track really played havoc with most of the Super Stock Truck competitors. Friday Night Round 7 The starting grid had Dan and his #826 UP Cars Bach Mobilities Hilltop RV BFGoodrich Tire Ford F-150 starting in the fourth row. Unfortunately, a wiring problem caused the #826 UP Cars Ford not to start when it came time for the warm up laps. Quickly the team found the bad wire, quickly replaced it, and got Dan back onto the track just as the green flag was waved. Unfortunately this put Dan Beauchamp at the back of the fourteen truck field. As Dan isn't one to shy away from a little contact, the #826 Ford began moving through the field. Along the way, he was involved with a couple spins that nearly ended his night, but Dan regrouped and kept charging towards a podium finish. Just before he could challenge his cousin Scott, for the final podium spot, the thirteen lap race ended. Officially Dan Beauchamp finished in fourth place. The next morning Dan a worked on a permanent fix for the ignition switch wiring as the crew prepped the truck for the evening's main event. Saturday Night Round 8 This time Dan jumped into the lead as the Super Stock Truck field headed down the back stretch. The Bach Mobilities Ford was working really well, maybe too well. As Dan headed into the infield portion of the track, the truck rolled completely over and back on its BFGoodrich tires. Amazingly Dan re-fired the truck and got back in the race without relinquishing the lead. The standing room only crowd went crazy. The roar of the crowd drowned out the roar of the V8 trucks. Dan continued to hold the lead until the damage the truck as well as a flat tire slowed the pace of the Hilltop RV Ford allowing several trucks to slide on past. At the finish, the youngest member of the IRON MELISHA came home a well deserved sixth place. "I was really amped up at the start today," remarked Dan Beauchamp. "Even after the roll this truck keeps on going. That's a great testament to my team. The flat tire and some of the minor suspension damage eventually slowed me down, but what a race. We build our race trucks pretty solid in the UP. Somebody started calling us the Iron Mulisha because of where we live, but I think it refers to how tough we all are as competitors. We've got some body work to do before we race back in front of our hometown crowd in Bark River, but we will be ready."
