Here is a look at what is happening from July 29 to August 3 in ASA Racing. ASA SERIES ASA INTERSTATE RACING ASSOCIATION SPRINT CAR SERIES (Wilmot Raceway, Wilmot, WI) The fast 410 Winged Sprints will be in action on Saturday night at Wilmot Raceway, an ASA Member Track. Billy Balog holds a 67-point lead over Scotty Neitzel in the standings. www.irasprints.org ASA MIDWEST TOUR & ASA MIDWEST TRUCK TOUR (Wisconsin International Raceway, Kaukauna, WI) The popular Super Late Model Series and uprising Truck Tour will be in action on Tuesday, August 3rd for the Annual Dixieland 150 event. Nationwide Series driver Scott Wimmer and Johnny Sauter, who is third in Truck Series points will be competing in the 150-lap event on the D-Shaped half-mile oval. www.asamidwesttour.com ASA MEMBER TRACKS ACE SPEEDWAY (Elon, NC) The challenge will be on to try to stop current Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil ASA Member Track National Championship leader Rodney Cook this Friday night as he will be gunning for his ninth feature win of the season. The Late Models, Modifieds, Extremes, Mini Stocks, Flathead Fords, Legends and Bandoleros in action. The Bombers, Front Runners, Sport Mods, Super Street, and Texas Thunder will all be in action. The Super Trucks, Chargers, Street Stocks and 4-cylinders will be in action. Plus, a Candy Drop for Kids. There will be a Demolition Derby, Enduro Race, Chain Race, Car-Boat Race, Flag Pole Race and a Motorhome Jump. www.eastbayracewaypark.com GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY Elma, WA Two big days of racing this Friday and Saturday night as the track hosts the 11th Annual Shipwreck Beads Modified Nationals. On Friday there will be qualifying, Heat Races, Pete Muller Trucking Race of Champions. On Saturday, the lineup includes trophy dashes, C-Main, B-Main, Last Chance Race and the 40-lap Shipwreck Beads Modified Nationals with $2,500 to win. The National Event is expected to bring drivers in from all over the United States, all looking to stop young Cole Williams's dominance this season at the speedway. Gates open at 5, hot laps start at 6 and racing at 7:30. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults; $5 for ages 11-16 and free for 10 kids and under. Grandstands open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. www.norwayspeedway.com ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY (San Bernardino, CA) Orange Show Speedway's version of the Battle of the Sexes will take center stage Saturday night (July 31) when the Interstate Batteries Factory Fours join the Super Late Models, Team Too Pony Stocks, Budweiser Legends Cars, M.C. Erectors Bandoleros and Stock OHV Karts on a very busy racing program. Three races remain in the 10-race season for the Factory Fours and there is a tie for the lead between San Bernardino High School teacher and coach Kim Marzullo and 2009 champion Dwayne Blay, an automobile service writer from Riverside (Ca.). The two are good friends, but both insist that friendship won't affect their on-track fight for the title. There's also a good battle for third between 56-year-old Victor Garcia and 12-year-old rookie Tony Forfa IV, who also are tied in the standings. As part of the RoC Championship Series, the distance has increased from 75 green flag laps to a full 100 laps around the high banks of the half-mile Concrete Castle. And unlike the May event that was run on a hot, sunny afternoon, the return performance will be under the lights. www.shangri-la2.com SKAGIT SPEEDWAY (Burlington, WA) This years Bob's Burgers and Brew 360 Nationals presented by Goodyear figures to be hotly contested as drivers from across the US and Canada are all set to battle for the $10,000 winners portion of the record setting prize money. The companion division on both nights will be the Washington State Focus Midget Challenge. Focus Midgets are rapidly growing in numbers in the Northwest and Skagit Speedway's lightning fast 3/10th mile high-banked clay oval is the perfect length to test their skills. On Friday, July 30, the drivers and crews will be getting their cars ready for racing during an Open Test-n-Tune practice session from 4P until dark. Saturday's agenda begins at 11A, when the pit gate opens. Scheduled practice sessions by class will begin at 11:45A. Grandstand gates will open at 4P, and qualifying for all classes will begin at 4:15P.
