Not Your Fathers Country Club - Road Racing Weekend for Chicago-land Motorsports Fans

The Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL is excited to bring professional road racing back to the Chicago area by hosting the second annual Harrah’s Autobahn Grand Prix presented by Mazda, July 30 – August 1. The weekend will consist of a 200 car field from seven different pro series, and feature 11 races on the Alan Wilson-designed 3.56 mile road course. Fans should not miss this incredible opportunity to meet the racing stars of tomorrow and get up close to the cars and racetrack competition.

Race series include:
- Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear
- Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda
- SCCA Pro Racing Playboy MX-5 Cup
- SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am and Pro STO
- Ford Racing Mustang Challenge
- Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup
- Porsche Caymen Interseries

The 2009 Grand Prix included this year’s Indy 500 rookie of the year, Simona DeSilvestro. The ’09 event drew over 10,000 race fans and was broadcast live by HDNet to over 84 million households.

Gates open daily at 7:00am and on-track activity begins at 8:00am. The Autobahn Country Club is located at 3795 Patterson Red in Joliet, IL.

Tickets are on sale now at www.autobahngrandprix.com. Prices are $51.00 for Friday and $30.00 for Saturday and Sunday.

The Autobahn Country Club was founded in 2005. Club members share a 10,000-square-foot paddock clubhouse with renters. A four-story, Autobahn Speed Pavilion Complex was completed in 2009 housing a 125,000-square-foot clubhouse with a members-only area containing workout rooms, a swimming pool, restaurant, bar, viewing deck and 40 condominiums, ranging from 535 to 860 square feet. The public portion includes a racing-oriented store, a 9,000-square-foot banquet hall and meeting area, and an interactive car museum.
