New Fords Are Just the Ticket for Lottery Winner
BRENTWOOD, UNITED KINGDOM – July 14, 2010: For National Lottery winner Neil Dexter there was only one answer to the question: "what will you buy first with your winnings?” – two new Ford commercial vehicles to help the business.
Neil, the proprietor of bicycle retailer Wheelies Cycle Care, based near York, has taken delivery of a Transit Connect and a Ranger Double Cab.
“I’m a Yorkshireman, so I don’t go rushing out and buying things,” says Neil, “but the Fords were my first purchases. I had it in mind to buy the Connect before my win, but the lottery has helped make it a reality.”
Neil won more than £3.6 million. He has no plans to stop overseeing his business, but does hope to take things a bit easier and let his staff do more of the work. A new house and a holiday in Australia are also on the cards.
He collected his new vehicles from York Ford dealer Stoneacre, where he has been a loyal customer for many years. “Everyone at Stoneacre York is delighted for Neil,” said commercial vehicles sales manager Nigel Little. “He has been a great customer over the years and certainly deserves his good fortune.”
