Toyota Speedway's DeFazio Joins Motorsports Business
Panel
What: July 2010 Motor Press Guild Meeting
Panel Discussion – Motorsports Business Panel
“The Future of SoCal Motorsports”
Premise: Southern California has been a business and cultural hub for motorsports for well over 70 years. First famous for Miller race cars in the 1920’s and Indy Roadsters in the 1950’s, not to mention being the birthplace of hot-rodding. Racetracks like Ascot, Carroll Speedway, Riverside, Ontario, and many others have come and gone as property values soared. Race teams like Dan Gurney’s All American Racers, Brock Racing Enterprises, and Shelby America once called SoCal home. What is happening in 2010? What will the landscape be in 2020? We have brought together a group of people who have unique vantage points on the sport. There will be no “presentations” – this will be a real panel discussion with panelists encouraged to ask questions of each other.
