Fans of All Ages Can Help Build and Run a NASCAR Sprint Cup Team as 'Team Partners' of the New 'America's Racing Team'
NEW YORK, July 6 -- Beginning today, racing fans have a team they can not only root for but literally help build and manage from the ground up in their role as "Team Partners" of the newest NASCAR Sprint Cup competitor, America's Racing Team (ART). America's Racing Team is the first in NASCAR's history to be created, led and partially bankrolled by the fans, bringing a new level of democracy and passion to a sport long-dominated by large corporate sponsors. Via a host of surveys and innovative web and mobile applications at the team's website www.americasracingteam.com, ART's "Team Partners" will also weigh in on the many vital decisions that go into running a top echelon NASCAR team, everything from driver selection to team strategy to car paint schemes.
America's Racing Team is offering its unique "Team Partner" proposition to an unprecedented array of fans, including Kids, Teens, Adult Fans and Small Businesses. For annual fees ranging from $44.95 for children to $49.95 for teens to $299.95 for adults, "Team Partners" not only receive the pride of helping run and fuel a great racing operation but also enjoy a host of hospitality benefits, many new to the world of NASCAR. These include deep discounts on race tickets, accommodations and merchandise as well as race-themed experiences like the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure. Small business partners, who pay $1995.95 in annual fees, can become a part of America's Racing Team's "76 Pit Club," where they can entertain employees and clients in the Pit Lane at NASCAR races. All partners will be invited to gather at the team's planned annual convention and upcoming local and regional events.
To ensure this new team is among the best in NASCAR, America's Racing Team is being supported by two experienced executives from the world of motorsports. Michael Wright, a 20-year veteran of global sports marketing powerhouse IMG and former agent for four-time NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon, is serving as ART's Chief Marketing Officer. Former Red Bull Racing and Evernham Motorsports executive Elton Sawyer is advising ART in the critical competition arena, a roll he played for four years while bringing Red Bull Racing from launch to the top echelon of the Sprint Cup Series.
"This is the opportunity for fans to be with a team from its first chassis purchased to the last lug nut tightened before rolling onto the track," adds the team's competition architect Elton Sawyer. "For the first time in NASCAR, fans can be a part of a true launch, the most exciting experience in racing."
America's Racing Team is slated to debut on-track with the #76 car at the Daytona 500 in February 2011. For information and to become a "Team Partner," visit www.americasracingteam.com
