(July 1, 2010)- Matt Crafton will make his second career ARCA Racing Series Presented by RE/MAX and Menards start on Saturday, July 10, driving the Kimmel Racing No. 88 Messina Wildlife Management/Menards Ford Fusion in the Prairie Meadows 200 at Iowa Speedway. Crafton's entry means that the veteran will pull double duty at the track. Combined with his participation in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event on Sunday, July 11, Crafton will complete 400 laps on the 0.875-mile track over two days. Crafton will run Menards-backed cars for both races. The No. 88 Messina Wildlife Management/Menards Ford Fusion will carry the special orange and yellow scheme that he ran at Toledo Speedway earlier this year, while the No. 88 Menards Silverado will carry the customary bright yellow paint scheme in the Camping World Truck Series race. "I love racing, so as long as I am driving a racecar, I am happy," said Crafton. "I am very excited to run the race with Menards and Messina on the car at Iowa. Hopefully, we should be able to contend for a win, no doubt." Crafton made his ARCA Racing Series Presented by RE/MAX and Menards debut last month in the Menards 200 Presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway. The Tulare, Calif., native was fast off the truck, as he posted the fourth-fastest time in practice and went on to qualify the No. 88 Messina Wildlife Management/Menards Ford in the seventh position. Crafton raced hard and tried to stay out of trouble on the half-mile paved oval, earning a top-five finish in his ARCA Racing Series debut. "Our finish at Toledo was definitely not where we thought we would have been," explained Crafton. "We had multiple problems throughout the race. All in all, it was a top-five and a good race. We had a lot of fun competing in no-pressure racing." Although Crafton has only one start at Iowa Speedway, he is no stranger to success at the 0.875-mile paved oval. In the 2009 NCWTS race, he started fourth, led 17 of the 200 laps, and finished sixth. The 11-year NCWTS veteran has found much success at short tracks throughout his career, finishing in the top-five 14 times on tracks one mile or less. "I ran at Iowa once. I really, really like Iowa, so I am looking forward to going there," said Crafton. "I am sure it's going to be warm, so I will make sure to stay hydrated to run both races. I am sure that the cars and trucks are going to be a lot different to drive at Iowa, but track time is track time." On-track action for the Prairie Meadows 200 begins on July 10 with practice at 10 a.m. CDT and final practice at 1 p.m. CDT.
