Carnation ties up with Magneti Marelli
Carnation Auto on Thursday announced a collaboration with Magneti Marelli After Market division for the launch of Auto Premio Solutions at its flagship hub in Gurgaon.
The collaboration will now allow Carnation to provide comprehensive automotive solutions, including servicing and after market spare parts for most luxury and premium car brands in the country.
“The alliance with Magneti Marelli is a comprehensive one. Catering to premium cars requires trained manpower to handle cars and spare parts. For this purpose, our manpower has been trained by Magneti Marelli. Three of their technical experts will once again come next month to further train our staff,” said Mr Jagdish Khattar, Chairman and Managing Director, Carnation Auto.
‘Auto Premio Solutions' will supplement the service network and will be positioned between the authorised service centres and other independent shops. As a step towards consolidating the market and increasing its footprint, Carnation and Magneti Marelli are also contemplating an expansion to other metros.
“We are already in 13 cities and out of these we will take up 4-5 more cities to set up the Auto Premio Solutions,” said Mr Khattar.
Mr Khattar added that the second focus area of the alliance would be the distribution of genuine after market parts. Magneti Marelli After Market will bring to the Indian market its own branded parts and also parts coming from its global partnership in the independent aftermarket. “High quality parts need skilled technicians. Our aim is to upgrade the Indian after market with our partnership with Magneti Marelli,” said Mr Khattar.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Dino Maggioni, Chief Executive Officer, Magneti Marelli Aftermarkets Parts and Services, said, “The Indian market is key for Magneti Marelli and provides growth opportunity for us. Through the launch of ‘Auto Premio Solutions', we bring to this market our expertise in servicing premium cars, the quality of our tools and parts and the solid, global partnerships we have in the aftermarket.”
With this launch, Carnation Auto's Gurgaon hub now has 10 verticals of operations which include general repair, body shop, parts accessories, DC Design, car exchange, value added services, workshop on wheels, and insurance.
