BOTANY, AUSTRALIA – June 24, 2010: Skoda Australia’s latest Ambassador is the Olympic and Commonwealth Games Gold medal winning triathlete Emma Snowsill.

Emma Snowsill is recognized as the highest award winning woman in ITU Triathlon history and continues to add to her success with a recent win in the ITU Triathlon Elite Cup event in the United States.

Emma’s partnership with Škoda compliments the brand’s sponsorship of Triathlon events around the country.

Škoda has a long association with sports and in particular cycling events like the Tour de France. Škoda recently extended the partnership with the Tour - which started in 2004 - until 2013.

“I’m very excited about my new partnership with Škoda,” said Emma. “Their association with cycling over the years and now their involvement with triathlon demonstrates a real commitment to our sport in Australia.”

Closer to home, Škoda Australia is a proud supporter of the Tour Down Under and now the Noosa, Sydney, Mooloolaba and Gold Coast Triathlon events.

With Emma’s impressive record she is well placed to continue her domination of one of the most gruelling endurance sports.

“Emma’s reputation and success in Triathlon makes her a formidable partner and we look forward to supporting her as she strives for future success,” said Matthew Wiesner, Head of Škoda Australia.

Emma will have a Škoda Octavia Scout to get her to even the most remote training locations. The Octavia Scout is an exceptionally capable all-wheel drive with huge interior space and is powered by the efficient and dependable 103TDI diesel engine which makes light work of long distances and tough terrain.
