Recent research has revealed that 58 per cent of men compared to 44 per cent of women have a comprehensive car insurance policy in their name. In light of this research, Post Office Car Insurance reminds men and women alike of the importance of having extra car insurance protection to cover any accidents, theft or breakdowns that may occur.

The report indicates that there has been an increase in individual comprehensive car insurance policies to 51 per cent. This increase of individual comprehensive car insurance policies may be indicative of a trend for consumers to opt for greater levels of protection as well as to take advantage of lower increases in premiums.
