Robertson Recaptures Bowman Gray Points Lead


Winston-Salem, NC:  Ryan Robertson, driver of the #23 Timothy D. Welborn/Make-A-Wish Chevrolet regained the points lead in the Sportsman division last weekend at Bowman Gray Stadium.

Robertson started the night drawing fourth and finishing second in a smooth twenty lap race.  In the second race, Robertson started eleventh and charged through the field to a sixth place finish.  Robertson now leads the standings by 20 points.

"It feels good to be able to come back after a rough race last week.  We are going to continue to work on our cars and try to stay on top the rest of the season," said Robertson.

Bryant Robertson was also turning heads on the track again this weekend in the #72 Carolina Wood Floors/Winston-Salem State University Motorsport Management Chevrolet.  He started the first race in twentieth place and worked his way up nine positions in just twenty laps to finish eleventh.  Robertson started the second race on the outside pole and was able to take the lead early in the race.  On lap twelve, he was turned and finished nineteenth.  Bryant Robertson had his first career win at the stadium earlier this season.
