Mahindra Automotive Australia CEO Departs On Maternity Leave

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – June 21, 2010: Ms. Claire Tynan, CEO of Mahindra Automotive Australia (MAA) will commence her maternity leave this month for approximately one year.

Ms. Tynan initially commenced as Chief Operating Officer at TMI Pacific, prior to being appointed CEO of MAA in November 2008, when a joint venture was formed between Indian automotive giant Mahindra & Mahindra and TMI Pacific.

Under Ms Tynan’s guidance the company has flourished, and the brand has gained recognition having built a base of loyal Mahindra Pik-Up drivers. The dealer network has also grown to over 25 locations across the Eastern Seaboard and more recently Western Australia, with South Australia to be announced in the coming months.

Claire Tynan, CEO, Mahindra Automotive Australia said, “It’s been a challenging yet highly fulfilling journey to establish a new brand within the Australian automotive market over the last number of years. This is an exciting time for the company with many plans ahead, and I look forward to returning to my role early next year.”

Mr. Dinesh Choudhari from Mahindra & Mahindra in India has been appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer. He has relocated to Sydney and will oversee company operations whilst Ms.Tynan is on leave.

No additional staffing changes have been announced at this stage.
