7th Annual TACA Family Picnic, Presented by TRACE3
IRVINE, Calif.--Last Sunday was an amazing day for TACA & TRACE3. For the past seven years TACA (Talk About Curing Autism) has hosted an Annual Family Picnic that provides a safe environment for families to come and enjoy a day filled with wonderful food and carnival style rides. TACA is dedicated to educating and supporting parents with children affected by autism and the autism community. Over 1500 people poured into Irvine’s Camp James and were greeted by TRACE3’s Volunteer Team with a snow cone and gluten free temporary tattoo reflecting a flaming heart and TACA’s logo.
Music filled Camp James and helped create a fantastic vibe by Jack FM radio station’s MC and other local bands. From ferris wheel rides and go-karts to food provided by In-N-Out Burger and Newport Rib Company, the day couldn’t get much better. With over 40 sponsors, including TRACE3’s $10,000 Presenting Sponsor donation, TACA was able to raise $80,000 for their family base of 16,000 strong. In addition to the $10,000 sponsorship, TRACE3 also announced a program focusing on their Facebook Fan page. TRACE3 will donate $1 for the next 2000 fans totaling $2,000 to TACA by simply posting “Talk About A Fan?? on their wall after becoming a Fan.
During the picnic, TACA’s Executive Director, Lisa Ackerman, stated: “Hayes Drumwright (CEO/Founder of TRACE3) is a model for corporate executives. He applies focus, creativity and talent to build a profitable business and then adds a dash of generosity to assist his community. The culture at TRACE3 follows the leadership and blends philanthropy within the corporation. We are grateful for TRACE3’s leadership and support of TACA and the families we serve.??
Hayes followed by saying, “In today’s economy, it is very difficult for charities and foundations alike to find funding from businesses as budgets are being cut in half if not wiped out entirely for sponsorships of charity events. In my opinion, this is the most important time to provide financial assistance to charities like TACA as those families are feeling the financial pinch even more. The average out of pocket cost for a family with autism is $25,000 per year. TRACE3 is very proud to support TACA and help these families.??
