The team runs on the foundation established by RSR owner and six-time Trans-Am Champion Gentilozzi, which includes 48 team starts in 18 years of competition at the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin race circuit; four poles, five wins and 18 podiums. This year the RSR team returns with Ramoutarsingh and Trans-Am veteran Tomy Drissi looking to reclaim the crown at one of the most famous permanent road courses in the United States. With three rounds of ten rounds in the books for the 2010 SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series, Drissi currently sits second in the championship standings trailing leader Tony Ave by 24 points (357-333) after recording a win and a second-place finish most recently in Utah. Last year at Road America Drissi started off strong securing the third spot on the grid, but an electrical issue cost him the win. He will be making his 90th Trans-Am start, 9th at Road America. The Hollywood, California-native will be looking to improve upon his best Road America result of fifth (2005) when he straps himself back into the cockpit of the #5 Knight and Day Jaguar XKR. "Road America is one of the greatest tracks in the world. The fans are so loyal and the area is beautiful. It is always an honor to race there, especially in a Trans-Am car. RSR is coming for one reason, and one reason only - to win! This is a big race and it is an immense accomplishment to leave this event with the win. That is what I hope to do this weekend; thanks to my support from 20th Century Fox, I have a new movie to promote and the best way to do that is to put the #5 Knight and Day Jaguar XKR out in front and on the pedestal at the end." Ramoutarsingh has had a rough start to the 2010 season behind the wheel of the #8 Trinrico Steel and Wire Products Jaguar XKR, earning his best finish of fourth in the season opener in New Jersey. However, he has continued a strong fight maintaining a top-five position in the standings, currently sitting fourth with 275 markers. The 2009 Rookie-of-the-Year fell shy of earning his first Trans-Am victory last year at Road America, but an unsuccessful attempt to over take the led resulted in Ramoutarsingh finishing as the runner-up. Making his 11th Trans-Am start, the Trinidadian's return will be marked with vengeance for not only last year's result, but for his misfortune in the last two rounds. "Road America is on the top of the list for North America's finest racing facilities. A place that has been good to me, but fell just short of my own expectations. Now that circumstances have compromised my finishing position and points standings from the previous events, there is no where I would rather be to gather it all up and put the #8 Trinrico Steel and Wire Products Jaguar XKR back in the top level of the standings. It will be a challenging and grueling dual, but we are ready to bring it home for our supporters." The RSR duo will hit the track on Friday, June 18 which will host three practice sessions ahead of qualifying on Saturday (12:40 pm CST).
