Champion Bowles reunites with GGRT/RCR at Infineon

Bowles returns to Golden Gate Racing-RCR for Infineon event
09 NASCAR West champion and Infineon winner to pilot Thunder Valley Casino #31

SONOMA, CA- The San Francisco based Golden Gate Racing Team and Richard Childress Driver Development have announced that defending series champion Jason Bowles of Ontario, California will return to their stable this week in Sonoma, California. Bowles will be an entry for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series Thunder Valley Casino Resort 200 at Infineon Raceway.
"I am really looking forward to this race, it's always nice to go back to a place you enjoy and have had success at," said Bowles, who has won the last two consecutive NASCAR West road course events at Infineon. "Winning the last two years has been great but its going to be tough as ever to do it again."
Bowles will team with Blake Koch of West Palm Beach Florida, the primary driver for Golden Gate Racing on the twists and turns of the popular 1.99 mile road course nestled in the hills of the Sonoma wine country. This will mark Bowles' second start of the season with the Golden Gate Racing Team aboard the Patti Offenbach-RCR fielded #31 Chevrolet. In his debut with the team earlier this season at Phoenix International Raceway, Bowles drove to an impressive second place finish.
"After the run we had in Phoenix I'm excited to go to Infineon and perform well for this team again. Especially since it is almost a home track race for Jim and Patti Offenbach," added Bowles. "It's great to have the race sponsor on board and introduce them into the sport. In today's market new sponsors are a great thing and I'm looking forward to promoting them and hopefully taking them to victory lane."
Bowles has a very decorated resume in his young racing career. A top kart racer as a youngster, he earned numerous victories and claimed first in the CART Stars of Tomorrow program in 2000 and was invited to the Skip Barber Karting Scholarship runoff for the four following years. In 2003 Bowles was the CART Stars of Tomorrow ISS West Champion and one year later claimed the Karting Supernationals ICC Championship.
In 2006 Bowles transitioned from open wheel cars into stock cars. One year later, he advanced into the NASCAR West Series where his success continued. In 2007 he was the Sunoco Rookie of the Year with three wins in his first season and now has nine career victories in the series. In 2009 he won the series championship by 123-points, Following his recent title run, Bowles has set his sights on the NASCAR Nationwide Series and advancement in his racing career in addition to racing select events in the regional campaigns.
In addition to the Thunder Valley Casino, the #31 Chevrolet that is owned by Patti Offenbach will carry the additional support of Richard Childress Racing and Bay Bio Diesel and the Golden Gate Meat Company. The Infineon event marks Patti's second event as an official car owner and with two-time event winner Bowles behind the wheel of the #31 and Koch in the #21, the team is poised to have a very successful run near home.

Bowles and the Golden Gate Racing Team will take to the track in Sonoma beginning this Friday morning with the first practice for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West at 8:30 a.m. and the final practice at 10 a.m. Following practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the K&N Pro Series returns to the track at 1:50 p.m. for qualifying.
On Saturday the Thunder Valley Casino Resort 200 will being at 12 p.m. with driver introductions followed by the green flag for the 64 lap race at 12:30.
