Tim George Jr. Finishes Eighth in the Irish Hills

Mooresville,
N.C (June 14, 2010)- Tim George Jr. rolled out of the Irish Hills
and Michigan International Speedway (MIS) this weekend with his fourth top-10
in the 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards season. The New
York, N.Y., native had a solid eighth-place finish in the Racing for Wildlife
200 at Michigan International Speedway on Friday, June 11.

To start the weekend, George completed 30 laps during the lone
practice session. Posting the 16th fastest time in practice Thursday, George
piloted the No. 31 to a lap time of 39.748 seconds (181.141 mph).

George and the No. 31 were looking forward to Menards Pole
Qualifying presented by Ansell later in the day, and crew chief, Gere Kennon
elected to use both of the two allotted laps in qualifying. George clicked off
a qualifying effort, turning in a lap of 39.649 seconds (181.593 mph). George's
lap time provided him a solid 14th-place starting spot for the Racing for
Wildlife 200.

When the green flag dropped, George started 14th in the 41-car
field and quickly found his way into the top-10, where he remained for most of
the day.

The only hiccup of the day came while the No. 31 machine pitted
under green-flag conditions on lap 75 with the leader. As the green-flag pit
stops began within the final 25 laps, George was in eighth place. A stroke of
bad luck hit when a caution came out as George exited pit road. The unfortunate
caution put the No. 31 a lap down.

While George restarted eighth, ultimately, his final finishing
position was eighth. George's second start at Michigan International Speedway
resulted in a career-best track finish, as the 29-year-old finished 13th while
running with Eddie Sharp Racing in 2009.

"We were a strong car here at MIS," admitted George. "The yellow
fell wrong for us and locked us out of the top-five, and for some reason, the
car wouldn't turn off of four on our last run. Our No. 31 had some of Austin
Dillon's truck guys and my regular guys pitting the car. They did a great job
on pit road, and Gere had them organized. Mike Dillon, my spotter, continued to
do a good job on the tower."

"The best thing that came out of this race for me was gaining some
more confidence from my team owner, Richard Childress, that I can do this",
George added. "We have a win coming, and if we keep putting ourselves in this
position week after week, it will happen soon."

It was the second consecutive top-10 result for George, as he
finished 10th last week at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway. George remains ninth in the
ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards championship point
standings.

Up Next: After a three-week hiatus, Tim George Jr. and the No. 31
Richard Childress Racing Development Chevrolet Impala team will return to the
track at Iowa Speedway for the Prairie Meadows 200 on Saturday, July 10.
