Quantum and Asola Showcase Fisker Karma PHEV at the Intersolar International Conference in Munich
IRVINE, Calif., June 11 -- Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. today announced that its German affiliate Asola Advanced and Automotive Solar Systems GmbH ("Asola") has displayed the Fisker Karma Plug-In Hybrid Vehicle (PHEV) incorporating Quantum and Asola's roof-integrated solar photovoltaic energy generation system at the Intersolar International Solar Conference and Exhibition held in Munich, June 9-11th, where in excess of 60,000 visitors were expected to participate.
"The interest level of the German and international media and the industry participants has been phenomenal," commented Alan P. Niedzwiecki, President and CEO of Quantum, who attended the show in Munich.
"The Fisker Karma solar roof is the largest monolithic automotive solar roof in the world and involves a challenging double curvature and four electrically separate zones for maximum energy generation," said Reinhard Wecker, the CEO of Asola.
