That means it's time for the family to get together and enjoy an evening of ASA Racing. Here is a peak of what is happening this weekend. ASA SERIES ASA MIDWEST TOUR (SUPER LATE MODELS, SPORTSMAN TOUR & TRUCK TOUR) (Hawkeye Downs Speedway, Cedar Rapids, IA) The ASA Midwest Tour's only appearance in the state of Iowa will take place on Friday night at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, IA and they are bringing the entire gang as the Super Late Model Series, Sportsman, and Trucks will all be in action this Friday night. Steve Carlson will be going for his fourth Keith Fleck Miller 100 win in a row and Ross Kenseth hopes to make it two wins in a row after winning at Elko last Sunday. www.asamidwesttour.com ASA INTERSTATE RACING ASSOCIATION SPRINT CAR SERIES (Oshkosh SpeedZone, Oshkosh, WI) The fast 410-Winged Sprints will be in action on two nights this weekend. On Friday, they visit Oshkosh SpeedZone in Oshkosh, WI and then travel to Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN on Saturday. www.irasprints.org ASA MEMBER TRACKS ACE SPEEDWAY (Elon, NC) It will be a busy weekend as they will have action on both Friday and Saturday night. On Friday, it's Fallen Heroes Memorial Night with a full racing action including a flyover, fireworks and a Train Race plus more. Racing begins at 7:30 p.m. www.madisoninternationalspeedway.com MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY (Meridian, ID) Defending track champion Tom Hill of Eagle, Idaho, sets his sights on moving up in the Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil ASA Member Track National Championship standings with a double feature of the ESI Express ASA Modifieds at Meridian Speedway on Saturday. Hill holds a 15-point lead over Nampa, Idaho's Shelby Stroebel in the Meridian Speedway series. The business owner whose company is the title sponsor for the Meridian series, Hill is third in the national track championship standings with 1.1785 points. Fellow western regional racer Clint LaFont from Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, TX, leads the national standings with 1.4989. The ASA Modifieds double main is part of EMS/Police/Fire and Corrections Officers Appreciation Night at Meridian. Time Trials at 6:00 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. www.norwayspeedway.com ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY (San Bernardino, CA) The JAM Sportswear Late Model drivers will resume their pursuit of an Orange Show Speedway title and the ASA Member Track National Championship Saturday night (June 12), when Best in the West Racing also welcomes the USAC Ford Focus Midgets and Jr. Focus Midgets for the first of three regular season events. The open-wheel racers will return to the historic quarter-mile paved oval on July 3 and Aug. 14. Rounding out this weekend's program are the Pick-A-Part Outlaw Figure 8s, Interstate Batteries Factory Fours and Pick-A-Part Street Stocks. Former USAC Young Automotive Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Champions Jimmy Wysong and Jimmy Waters will be the sprint cars to watch at Saturdays event. Wysong and Waters have been posting fast lap times this season and have both placed in the top three in this year's two races. Wysong currently sits atop the point standings with a twenty point lead over Waters. Maverik Modified's point leaders are also in close competition with only eighty-eight points separating the top five. Points leader Nick Parker and third in points, Mark Ith Jr. have both claimed a main event win. The remaining point leaders have secured top five finishes, proving that consistent racing is just as important for points as taking first place is in this series. Gates open at 4pm. Qualifying begins at 5pm and racing starts at 6pm. Gates open at 5 p.m., Autograph session at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. www.tucsonracewaypark.com VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Saluda, VA) Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway will host WXGM Night at the Races this Saturday June 12th. The night's activities will include all four divisions of Army National Guard Dirt Series action. Fans will also be able to get a close look of Dale Earnhardt Jr's #88 National Guard Sprint Cup show car as it will be on display for during the evening's events. It was announced that the speedway will continue with its $5 admission for all military at any of the speedway's weekly events for the remainder of the 2010 season. The $5 admission is for all active, retired, Guard, Reserve personnel and their dependents when they present a valid military I.D. Competitor gates for Saturday, June 12th will open at 3pm with spectator gates opening at 4pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30pm with hot laps. Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday: Victory Lap Late Models (35 Laps); Truckin Thunder Sportsman (25 Laps); Budweiser Modifieds (25 Laps); and the Collision One Limited Stock Cars (20 laps).
