TORC Series Pro Teams Test at Crandon in Preparation for Season Opener
CRANDON, Wis. - The rumble of engines was heard at the "Big House" this week
as a number of Traxxas TORC Series Presented by AMSOIL teams tested here in
preparation for the series opener June 19-20 and the series finale Sept.
4-5. The track has been redesigned for the 2010 season in an effort to
produce faster speeds and more passing opportunities, both translating into
more excitement for the fans.
Attending the session this week were:
PRO 4x4 class: Scott Douglas, Johnny GreavesO, and Mike Jenkins
PRO 2WD class: Mike Oberg, Jeremy McGrath, Chad Hord, Mark Jenkins, and Jeff
Kincaid
PRO Light class: Brad Lovell
"We had a great session of testing at the 'Big House' this week and based on
what we saw, the fans can expect the kind of action they're used to when
they attend a TORC Series race," said Kevin Miller, CEO of USAC, the TORC
Series' sanctioning body. "We're very excited to come back to Crandon in a
couple of weeks for two full days of the best off-road racing in the
country."
