Chrysler Australia Up In May - Record Month For Jeep Sales
MULGRAVE, AUSTRALIA – Jun 4, 2010: Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge combined achieved a seven percent increase in May. Jeep celebrated its best month for 2010 with a 47 percent increase in sales over the same period in 2009.
“We’re currently sitting third amongst international markets and we’re still number one for right-hand-drive,” said Gerry Jenkins, Managing Director, Chrysler Australia.
“We’ve got great marketing and healthy dealer stock to take advantage of this bullish market.”
Sales of the legendary Wrangler continue to grow with 248 sales during may, an increase of 97 percent from May 2009. Grand Cherokee, Cherokee and Patriot all recorded significant sales increases as well leading to a 60 percent increase in sales year to date.
The versatile Dodge Journey continues to impress, with a 312 percent increase in sales compared to May 2009.
The Dodge brand will continue to grow throughout 2010 with fresh Nitro and Caliber stock arriving next month.
