Atlanta, June 2, 2010: TrackChic.com, the social phenomenon for
motorsports’ forgotten female fans, announces increased website
viewership by 35.13% in the first five months of 2010. The web metrics
analyzer, Alexa, now ranks TrackChic.com as the 64,867most popular website
in the USA and 382,430 worldwide, outperforming other motorsport
powerhouses including americanlemans.com, grand-am.com, racedayonfox.com,
goprn.com, danicapatrick.com, dalejr.com and NASCAR’s Drive for
Diversity program, D4D.tv.
“We are extremely excited about the positive momentum Track Chic is enjoying this year” says Theresa Earnheart, Track Chic’s founder and CEO. “Additionally, when measuring time on site, page views per user, and the percentage of visits to the site that consist of a single pageview, Track Chic outperforms industry leaders including NASCAR.com, IndyCar.com and Oprah.com. This positive trend and growing enthusiasm of female fans affirms our position that motorsport is no longer just a “Good Ol’ Boys Club.”
One in three women in the U.S. are avid race fans; however there remains a sizable void in today’s market for motorsports’ female fans. According to website ranking specialists, Quantcast, IndyCar.com visitors are 64% male, NHRA.com is 61% male, NASCAR.com is 54% male and Fannation.com visitors are 78% male. “This supports a healthy need for 240 million female fans worldwide to enjoy a “place of their own” and connect with the millions of other women who share their passion” continues Earnheart. “Track Chic isn’t circuit specific or driver specific and is equally exciting for female fans of all the racing circuits. Our mission is to bring together and give voice to motorsports’ forgotten female fans and showcase the achievements of the many women in the industry today, not only competing behind the wheel but also working hard behind the scenes.”
