Robertson Family Notches Another Bowman Gray Win

Winston-Salem, NC:  Robertson Motorsports likes to make Saturday night a family affair at Bowman Gray Stadium. This weekend the family was out in full force racing in Stadium Stock and Sportsman divisions, with 70 year old Gerald bringing home the first place trophy in the #72  John Campbell Drywall/Carolina Wood Floors Chevrolet in the Stadium Stock division.  Gerald now has a strong grip on the points lead.

Gerald's grandson, Ryan Robertson, driver of the #23 Timothy D. Welborn/Make-A-Wish Chevrolet had another solid weekend finishing 7th and 10th respectively.  Ryan Robertson is second in the Sportsman division, only 14 points behind the leader.  Next weekend will be the much anticipated100 lap race for double points. Mike Robertson, Gerald's son and Ryan's father, is a long-time driver at the stadium as well, and is now the team owner.

"I look forward to racing at Bowman Gray every weekend.  It is a time for the men in the family to get together.  We spend all week working on cars and getting the cars ready for the weekend," said the youngest Robertson racer, Ryan.

Mike's brother, Bryant Robertson, driver of the #72 Carolina Wood Floors/Winston Salem State University Motorsport Management Chevrolet, finished 18th in the first race due to a wreck, but was able to finish 12th in the second twenty lap race.  Bryant Robertson is currently 14th in the point standings for the Sportsman division.

 "We had some serious work to do on the cars this week.  We were able to make the adjustments and put on a good show for Memorial Day weekend," said, Mike Robertson.
