How Zoggles Works: Sensors feed temperature and humidity data to a chip that determines whether the lens is about to fog up. If so, it activates a heating mechanism that prevents the fog from forming.

WEST CHESTER, Pa.--Popular Science magazine has awarded Integrity Engineering's Zoggles' electronic predict-and-prevent anti-fog anti-frost technology Invention of the Year status for 2010. Invented by principals Don A. Skomsky, PE and Valerie Palfy, and protected by three U.S. Utility Patents, ZogglesTM anti-fog anti-frost technology has been proven to maintain any object fog and ice free in environments down to -35° F. ZogglesTM has no moving parts, it weighs 0.10 ounces, it has a footprint the size of a common postage stamp and it is very green - it even operates under water. In 2009, ZogglesTM received international recognition, being selected over thousands of entries to win NASA's Create the Future new technology competition. University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business chose ZogglesTM equipped ski goggles for extensive study as a new product venture in 2007, concluding that ZogglesTM goggles were a "must have" product, with the new venture forecasted to earn an extremely high ROI. In 2006, ZogglesTM equipped goggles successfully braved the weather on Mount Everest, being the first protective eyewear (and the only electronic eyewear) to survive the climb to the summit of Everest, and back, without fogging or frosting.

Over 300 commercial and military applications for ZogglesTM anti-fog predict-and-prevent technology have been identified to date, ranging from eyeglasses to SCUBA masks, automobile windshields to spacesuit helmets. The Popular Science award is published in their June 2010 issue, and may also be view at www.PopSci.com.
