FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SCOTT EXTENDS POINTS
LEAD WITH FEATURE WIN AT ROSEVILLE

ROSEVILLE, CALIF. (MAY 10,
2010) – 2009 All American Speedway Rookie of the Year Matt Scott, 18
of Pine
Grove, Calif., gave his mom the best Mother’s
Day present of all by winning Saturday night’s 50 lap feature at the speedway
in Roseville.

The win
marks his fifth career Late Model feature, and first of 2010, at the NASCAR
Whelen All-American Series-sanctioned venue.

Scott,
who entered the race as the track points leader, extended his points lead to 17
points over Jonathan Mawhinney in the track standings.

Scott
qualified fifth quick and started fifth after a nine car inversion was
pulled.  The Matt Scott Racing pit crew
of team owners Mike Scott & Chuck Scott, along with Brian Bates, Steve
Bates, Rich Field, and other volunteers, made an overhaul to the setup
underneath the #35 Catchyoureye.com / Halm Metal Fabrication / Pardee Lake
Recreation Chevrolet.  The changes proved
to be the trick in the main event.

At the
green, Scott quickly navigated the field on the one-third mile asphalt oval, moving
past Chris Scribner to take over third by lap eight.

The Amador High School senior reeled in the top-two and
took over the lead on lap 14.  After a
lap 16 restart, Scott and Mawhinney staged a side-by-side battle with Mawhinney
taking the lead at the caution on lap 21.

On the
restart, Scott roared ahead of Mawhinney to take the lead.  Scott went on to build up a substantial lead
and held the advantage all the way to the finish of the 50 lap race.

During
the feature Scott ran a best lap of 14.027 which was not only Scott’s best main
event lap thus far through six starts but also one of the best main event laps run
this year on the speedway in the Late Model division.

Scott
stopped on the front stretch after the win to accept the congratulations from a
very partial crowd of over 1500 fans.

“It was
an amazing race,?? Scott said in victory lane. “My crew, they re-did the whole
car between qualifying and the main. I really don't understand how it all came
together. The car was just wicked fast.??

Matt’s
next race is scheduled for May 22nd with twin 44 lap main events
scheduled at All American Speedway.
