Iran unveils domestic automobile “Tiba”

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran unveils a locally-made automobile dubbed Tiba (gazelle) on Sunday.

The automobile made by Iran’s Saipa Automotive Manufacturing Group and its technical name is S81.

The car was to be named Miniature previously.

Also Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaking in the unveiling ceremony said, “the country is moving towards economic progress fast and we should do our best for Iran’s development.”

He added, “Today, the Iranian nation showed that it can stand on its feet and reach the peaks despite all pressures and sanctions by foreigners.”

Tiba is a species of Iranian gazelle.
