Evans Ready to Attack Coffs Coast

TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – May 7, 2010: Honda Civic Type R driver Eli Evans is looking forward to defending his Coffs Coast Rally crown – the scene of his first ARC win in 2008 – at the Coffs Coast Rally from 14 to 16 May.

Evans and co-driver Glen Weston are piloting the J.A.S Motorsport-built Honda Civic Type R during the 2010 Australian Rally Championship season, similar to the car that British rally champion Guy Wilks drove in the same event back in 2008.

Evans is looking forward to returning to Coffs Harbour. “This rally means a lot to me as it was where I won my first ARC round. We also know how well the Civic Type R performs on gravel roads.

“Glen and I are keen to push the Honda as hard as we can, all the way to the finish-line,” Evans said.

Another advantage Evans takes into this event is the experience and the all-important data captured by the Honda team in 2008.

After a strong performance at the first round of the championship in Tasmania and many lessons learnt from the last gravel event in WA, the team can’t wait for the Coffs Coast Rally to begin.
