Mercedes-Benz UK Has Announced the Appointment Of A New Sales Director for Mercedes-Benz Cars
MILTON KEYNES, UNITED KINGDOM – April 30, 2010: Mike Whittington, who joined the company three years ago, is to take up his new position on 1st June 2010.
Currently Director, Network Operations, he will fill the role previously occupied by Simon Oldfield, following Oldfield’s recent move to become Managing Director Customer Services Group, Mercedes-Benz Cars.
Mike Whittington started his motor industry career with Peugeot as a graduate trainee, and held a number of sales and marketing positions including field management roles. He widened his industry experience further after moving to Toyota/Lexus where he was involved in a variety of fields including After Sales, Strategy and Planning, Network Development and Sales & Marketing.
In his role as Director, Network Operations, Whittington has led a number of new initiatives involving the brand’s passenger car and commercial vehicle retail partners and has played a major role in the current “Best Premium Franchise” passenger car strategy being rolled out across the network.
