Broadridge Receives 2010 Gallup® Great Workplace Award

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y.--Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. today announced it has been awarded the prestigious “Gallup Great Workplace Award.??

“The winners of this award continue to establish new global standards for engaging people”

The Award, a first for Broadridge, recognizes companies with the most engaged and productive workforces in the world, based on the most rigorous workplace research ever conducted. Broadridge is one of only 25 companies worldwide to receive the prestigious honor this year.

"The winners of this award continue to establish new global standards for engaging people," said Tom Rath, who leads Gallup's Workplace and Leadership Consulting practice. "When compared to the millions of workgroups we have studied around the world, the awardees have worked tirelessly to create an environment that values people. They go far beyond trivial perks to ensure that each employee has an emotional connection to the company's mission and growth."

Broadridge received the award at the Gallup Summit 2010 in Omaha, Nebraska. During the Summit, Broadridge and other Great Workplace Award winners presented the best practices which they had applied to their workplace and the improved business results achieved through building an engaged workforce.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious award from such a distinguished organization as Gallup and to be counted among the small number of esteemed organizations being recognized this year,?? stated Maryjo Charbonnier, Chief Human Resources Officer, Broadridge. “For nine years, we have used Gallup’s Q12® survey to measure our associates’ engagement and have charted a course for improvement based upon those results. We are especially proud of the time and effort invested on the part of our associates and management team every day to create such a positive work environment and culture at Broadridge,?? Ms. Charbonnier added.

Broadridge has received numerous awards from organizations around the world in recognition of its engaging workplace practices. Recently, it was recognized for the third consecutive year as one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York by The Best Companies Group, and ranked #1 large company in this year’s survey. Broadridge was also named one of the 2010 Best Workplaces in Canada by the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. Additionally, Broadridge was ranked among the "Top 20 Best Employers in India" by the Employer Branding Institute and recognized by the Best Companies in UK as “One to Watch.??

About the Gallup Great Workplace Award

The award's weight and design equal the merit of the winners' accomplishments. To create the award, Gallup designers collaborated with R.S.Owens & Company, the company that produces many of the world's most prestigious awards, including the Academy Award. The award consists of two components: The top design features 12 etched crystal planes, layered to convey the kinetic energy of an engaged workforce. The crystal sits atop a concave-shaped pedestal base composed of polished silver-plated legs and a satin finish front display. The combination of these parts results in a piece that evokes the nature of engagement.
