Irwindale, Calif. - -  (April 28, 2010) Yes, you read that headline correctly, Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, California, the place that everyone calls, “LA’s Half-Mile Superspeedway”, the place where making racing history and producing racing thrills are “what they do”, will kick off the month of May this Saturday by making this simple guarantee:

“If, after the first race of the evening, any of our guests are not completely satisfied with the advertised excitement level, all they need to do is return to the ticket window for a full refund of their ticket price …”*

As simple as that.  “We’ve always believed in our product,” said the track’s General Manager Bob De Fazio,  “ and we decided that during the entire month of May we’d make it easy for fans who might not have yet been out to the Speedway to join in all the fun and excitement without risking a dollar on admission.  They’ve got to like what they see first race, or they get their admission price back.”

Opening in 1999, the half-mile Toyota Speedway track is one of NASCAR’S most celebrated short tracks, the home of a number of nationally-recognized events, it features a card of exciting Saturday night NASCAR races from March through October. 

This week’s event will feature NASCAR races for the Auto Club Late Models, the King Taco Super Trucks, the Southwest Tour Truck Series, the Ken Porter Auctions Classic Stocks, and the Pick Your Part Outlaws Figure 8’s.  

For the even more adventurious among us, there’s even a round of Auto Soccer on Saturday night’s card.  Played on the track’s spacious infield with a 5-foot diameter, 400-pound steel “soccer ball” this event is better witnessed than explained.

Fans of all ages love the 5:45PM King Taco On-Track Autograph Session … It’s free and sort of a cross between the fun zone at the county fair and a really cool racing car show with all the drivers there to sign autographs and talk “track” with the fans.
